Higher Education Institutions
In terms of Section 34 of the Pharmacy Act, 53 of 1974, the South African Pharmacy Council is charged with the responsibility of approving pharmacy education/training programmes and institutions/providers. No person may provide pharmacy education and training without approval by Council.
Providers of education and training for purposes of registration as a pharmacist may be approved for a maximum period of six (6) years.
The below list constitutes the approved providers of the Bachelor of Pharmacy qualification:
