MONITORING / TRAINING / COMPLIANCE OFFICERS FOR THE SOUTH AFRICAN PHARMACY COUNCIL
The SAPC hereby invites applications from suitably qualified individuals for monitoring/training/compliance officer's positions for the purpose of conducting pharmacy inspections in the various categories of pharmacy (community, institutional, manufacturing, wholesale and Consultant Pharmacy). The positions are available in the following areas: Gauteng, Limpopo, North West and Western Cape.
Reimbursement of services:
Officers will be reimbursed as follows:
R305,00 per hour up to a maximum of 3 hours per inspection except for no-stock wholesalers and disciplinary inspections where the maximum number of hours per inspection is 1.5 and 5 respectively.
Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent and registration with SAPC as a pharmacist; and minimum of ten years' experience as a practising pharmacist in community and hospital pharmacy. Additional experience in both manufacturing and wholesale pharmacy would serve as a strong recommendation. Recording of CPD activities on the SAPC website.
To conduct the following types of inspections:
(a) Monitoring inspection - for the purpose of monitoring compliance to Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP) standards;
(b) Training inspection - for the purpose of training interns and pharmacy support personnel;
(c) New premises inspection - for the purpose of determining compliance to the GPP requirements relating to licensing of pharmacy;
(d) Disciplinary inspection - for the purpose of investigating professional conduct complaints; and
(e) Follow up inspection - for the purpose of ensuring that corrective action has been implemented following disciplinary inspection or monitoring inspection.
